QUESTION: What is the proper dance attire?
ANSWER:
1. Jazz & Tap : all black, shirt or tank tops, capris/pants (no zippers, buckles or pockets) black slip on jazz shoes or tap shoes.
2. Hip Hop: black t-shirt, warm up type pants, Jazz sneakers.
3. Ballet: black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers * (hair in high bun)
Appropriate ballet shoes can usually be found at Payless, or you can buy them at a specialty dance shop. SSDF also offers a shoe exchange where you can donate or resell used dance shoes! See office for more details. Arrive for class with your hair pulled back, wearing appropriate attire & remove any jewelry.

QUESTION: What are the studio standards?
ANSWER:
1. Arrive 5 minutes before class starts, ready to dance.
(hair pulled back & no jewelry)
2. Walk in quietly, sit quietly, and wait for instructions.
3. “Dance Shoes” only are allowed on the studio floors.
4. Water only is allowed in the studio. No Food or Gum!
5. Cell phones must be turned off during class.

QUESTION: What do you mean by “Zero Tolerance”
ANSWER: South Side Dance Force has a “Zero Tolerance” policy for disrespect to any instructor, fellow dancer, office worker, or other parent while on the premises.

ANSWER: Good question. Here you go:
Directions from Auburn: Hwy 167 north; Take Kent/Des Moines exit; Right at end of exit; Left onto 4th Ave; Left onto Gowe; Studio is on the right about 200 yds down (right before the curve).
Directions from Federal Way: 1-5 north; Take Hwy 512 (Kent/Des Moines) heading east; Cross under Hwy 167; Left onto 4th Ave; Left onto Gowe; Studio is on the right about 200 yds down (right before the curve).
Directions from Renton/Newcastle/Bellevue: I-405 South; Hwy 167 South; Take Kent/Des Moines exit; Left at end of exit; Left onto 4th Ave; Left onto Gowe; Studio is on the right about 200 yds down (right before the curve).
Directions from Kent East Hill: Head west down hill (either Kent-Kangley or 240th); Left onto Central; Right onto Gowe; Cross 4th Ave; Studio is on the right about 200 yds down (right before the curve).
