    Lori Stephens

Lori started dancing at the age of five and continued for five years of tap, ballet & baton @ Margaret’s School of Performing Arts. She returned to dance in high school as a member of Lindbergh High School’s first dance squad and was a member for three years. After finishing college at University of Washington and graduate school at Pacific Lutheran University, she returned to dance to bring creative expression back into her life. In the early nineties, she met Joselito Castillo and dance has not been the same since! She taught pre-jazz for four years for SSDF before starting her family of her own little dancers. Her daughters Ciara and Cassi are active in the Creative Movement and Jazz 1 classes. They copy all of mom’s dances at home! Lori’s creative influences include Gene Kelly, Bob Fosse, Jerome Robbins, musical theatre, and of course, Joselito. Lori is proud to be a part of SSSCo and to be dancing under Joselito’s visionary direction.

    Denise Weitz

In 2002, Denise Weitz sat unexpectedly awaiting her nieces dance recital only to have her destiny changed by the most inspiring, entertaining and creative production by the one and only Joselito Castillo.  That evening would inspire her to return to her love of dance and performing with the extra added bonus of dancing with some of the most talented and amazing people she would ever befriend.  Denise started dance and baton classes at the age of 5.  After 19 years of twirling, two state champion titles and 1 national team title, she retired her batons.  Denise returned to dance after 23 years and made her debut with SSDF in August of 2005.  Shows: Galactic Transfer, International Party, Tri-Force, Dancing on a Dream, SSSco – Sweethearts.
